Care as a social practice

It explores care as a social process consisting of interactions, norms, values, and meanings. It studies how patients, families, caregivers, professionals, and communities co-produce care practices in everyday life, valorizing situated perspectives and lived experiences. 

​​​​​Particular attention is paid to the self-management of health, illness, and risk, as well as the active involvement of patients and caregivers. Care is explored by analyzing relationships with services, institutions, and caregivers, highlighting the personal and social challenges it entails.
