The disciplinary area of nursing sciences focuses on the analysis of care practice in its clinical, educational, and organizational aspects, with particular attention to care processes, quality of care, and professional training.
The disciplinary area of human and social sciences encompasses approaches from sociology, anthropology, philosophy, medical humanities, and science and technology studies, with the aim of analyzing care and health in their sociocultural, relational, material, and ethical dimensions. The Centre thus aims to contribute to a critical reading of care processes, promoting a broader and more contextualized understanding.
The disciplinary area of health economics and policy focuses on the economic and institutional analysis of health systems, health markets, public policies, governance, and the economic sustainability of care and health, with the aim of supporting effective decision-making processes and governance models.
The disciplinary area of computational and behavioral social sciences brings together advanced skills in the analysis of complex social behaviors and computational modeling, with particular reference to phenomena related to healthcare and social health policies.
The laboratory provides expertise in the design and conduct of quantitative studies. Specifically, it supports the planning of studies aimed at collecting and/or analyzing data in the health, social, and economic fields, in order to generate empirical evidence to support research or respond to service mandates in the fields of care and health.
